Note from the webmaster (Sharon Edmondson Pilgrim, SHS Class of 1960): I consider my years at Springfield High School to have been a very important time in my life. I know that some of us enjoyed our time in high school more than others, but I believe we would all admit that high school probably included some of the best times, as well as what "we thought" were the worst times in our lives!
Most of us wonder as we consider attending reunions, if our high school friends will actually recognize, or at worst case, even remember us. We're very curious about what our former classmates are doing now... are they married, divorced, how many kids, where do they live, etc.?
OK, here's what I've learned from attending my high school reunions, starting with the 10th. Most of us actually are showing signs of "growing up" by the time the 10th reunion rolls around. By the 20th, classmates who you thought never noticed you, are relating to you as if you were friends the entire time. By the 50th, we have so much more in common than any of us ever thought possible; we have endured many of the same successes and sorrows that life throws at you by the time you've reached the ripe 'ol age of 67 or 68 years old!
My advice is this... take a look at the News & Events page on this site, and consider attending future events. IF you haven't attended a reunion, it's not too late to get reacquainted - we've missed you!
