Wow - it's now been 11 months since our 50-year reunion! The year is getting away from me - fast... Is it true that time goes faster as we get older, and how does that happen?
It's time for Our Annual Reunion...

Well, I for one, am looking forward to our "annual pizza party" at Roaring
Rapids Pizza Company, and hopefully we'll be able to see some
of our classmates who couldn't make it last year!
I have activated and added photos to the "25th Reunion" page (click on the "Past Reunions" log). I will be adding the "20th Reunion" link next, but will let you know when it's ready to be viewed. I want to offer an apology for the time it has taken me to get this done, but it seems that since "retirement" from my real job, life has me running in many different directions now!
A reminder that a monthly get-together will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month beginning on September 8, 2010 at Papas Pizza at 1577 Coburg Rd., Eugene from 11:30 to 2:00 in the South Room.
...and
speaking of monthly get-togethers... a few of us who live in the Portland
Area have been discussing the idea of getting together
for lunch - maybe once every two months? We were thinking possibly of Pietro's
Pizza in Milwaukie - it's good pizza and centrally located. I and a couple
of other classmates from the Portland Area attend the lunch in Eugene as
often
as
possible,
but
I know
I can't
make it every month. Send me an Email (shs60lovenadsgn@aol.com) and
let me know if you're interested in attending a Portland lunch!
If you would like to donate to our fund which helps
with postage for mailing, website costs, etc. please send your check
payable to "SHS Class of 1960" to: Arlene Grace Burge, 352 Banton Ave.,
Eugene, OR 97404. This past year the costs to classmates for the dinner
on Saturday
night at the Country Club, T-Shirts & Reunion Books were all at cost.
We did not ask for any additional funds so the donations help with the
minimal
costs we incur from time to time. Please do not feel an obligation to
make a donation however!
An annual reunion will be held every year from
now on - the third Saturday in August at Roaring Rapids beginning at 5:00
p.m. It will be held outside in the covered area next to the river and is
a no-host event.
We hope you can join us at one of the upcoming events.
